IDET 2021 Czech Rep showcases defence & security technologies

IDET, PYROS and ISET international security fairs were successfully organised at the Brno Exhibition Centre in Czech Rep from 6-8 Oct 2021. Visitors had a great opportunity to attend the exhibition of innovative products from the defence and security industry as well as an interesting supporting programme.

More than 490 companies participated in the security fairs, including a number of important members of the Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic. An important part of IDET was the joint exposition of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic and the Army of the Czech Republic.

Lockheed Martin, a major US company operating in the field of security and aviation was partner of IDET 2021. The company focuses on research, design, development, production and integration of state-of-the-art technological systems, products and services.

IDET ARENA 2021: Off-road polygon with dynamic demonstrations

The IDET ARENA off-road polygon was in operation once again during the security fairs, featuring dynamic demonstrations of military, firefighting and police equipment in action. Visitors saw demonstration rides of vehicles, demonstrations of the Army of the Czech Republic, the Police of the Czech Republic, the Fire and Rescue Service, the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic, demonstrations of the Czech Army’s dog handlers, demonstrations of the Brno Municipal Police and the University of Defence (Commandos).

Start-up Innovation Pavilion

IDET also featured the Start-up Innovation Pavilion project, organized by the Defense and Security Industry Association. Its goal is to raise the profile of start-up innovative Czech companies in the field of defence and security technologies. Five companies – CactuX LINACTON, OteSound, Quantasoft, SPACEKNOW and Spectrasol – presented themselves at the exhibition grounds as part of this project.

The PYROS and ISET trade fairs were also held concurrently with IDET. The Police of the Czech Republic, the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic, the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, the Administration of State Material Reserves of the Czech Republic and the Brno Municipal Police exhibited at these fairs.
