The Kazakhstan delegation of defense enterprises took part in the 11th Defense and Expo 2020 International Exhibition of Land and Naval Arms in Lucknow, India. The head of the delegation was Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Talgat Zhanzhumenov.

During the visit Kazakhstan delegation had meetings with the State Minister of Defense of India, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of India and with 10 large Indian defense enterprises. The parties discussed further cooperation in the naval sphere. In particular, an increase in the export of services of the Kazakhstan company JSC Machine-Building Plant named after CM. Kirov, who is already carrying out repairs and naval service of the Armed Forces of India. They also discussed the possibility of repair and maintenance of armored vehicles and missile and artillery weapons, as well as the joint production of protective equipment. Much attention at the talks was paid to attracting Indian investments in the defense industry of Kazakhstan.

In addition, the State Minister of Defense of India was awarded an invitation letter from the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov about visiting the KADEX-2021 International Exhibition of Arms and Technologies, which will be held in Nur Sultan on June 10-13, 2021.
